Shawn Mendes Postpones World Tour Dates, Cites Mental Health As Reason 

The musician Shawn Mendes is taking a break from touring to put his mental health first.

Mendes informed his more than 69 million Instagram followers that he will be taking a three-week vacation.

On June 27, 2022, Mendes kicked up his 87-city tour in Portland, Oregon. The tour is in promotion of Wonder, his album due out in 2020.

“This breaks my heart to have to say this, but unfortunately I’m going to have to postpone the next three weeks of shows through Uncasville, CT until further notice,” Shawn Mendes said.

Since I started travelling at age 15, it hasn't been easy for me to be away from my friends and family. - He further said.

“I need to take some time to heal and take care of myself,” the singer said in a statement

"I felt like I was ready to dive back in, but that decision was premature and unfortunately the toll of the road and the pressure has caught up to me."

In St. Paul, Minnesota, Mendes was scheduled to perform on Saturday night.

In the comments area, Mendes received encouragement from other musicians. Maggie Rogers, Giveon, Brett Eldredge, Remi Wolf, and more artists left hearts and other sentiments for the pop sensation.

He later reaffirmed the decision to put his mental health first.
