Lopez is an All-Star for the Orioles, and his teammates are ecstatic for him.
BALTIMORE— When Jorge López was having trouble as a starter last season, it would have been difficult to see him as the Orioles' representative on the American League All-Star team.
López, a starter last year who went 2-14 with a 6.35 ERA, was sent to the bullpen and pleased the Orioles with a 2.16 ERA in eight appearances.
López has made 16 saves out of 20 opportunities and a 3-5 record in 38 games.
Hyde, whose club has won eight straight games and is one game under.500, said, "I know he's had a couple of difficult outings, but he has been the reason why we've won so many games."
