Emmy season is heating up on Tuesday with the official announcement of the 2022 nominees.

The Emmys will award prizes to the best in show in exactly two months (s). And today, a crucial aspect of that procedure—the invite list—was made public.

Succession, an HBO drama series, dominated all other series in nominations with 25, and Euphoria, another HBO drama, received the second-highest number of nominations.

Ted Lasso of Apple TV+ received 20 nominations in the comedy category. Hacks of HBO Max and Only Murders in the Building of Hulu received 17 nominations each.

The Emmy Awards will air on NBC on Monday, Sept. 12 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, and will also be streamed live and on demand on Peacock.

The top Emmy Award nominees will be revealed in a virtual ceremony with J.B. Smoove at 8:30 a.m. PT/11:30 a.m. ET.

The best American primetime programming that aired between June 1, 2021, and May 31, 2022 will be honoured by the Emmys.

The greatest American primetime television broadcast between June 1, 2021, and May 31, 2022 will be honoured by the Emmys, including popular new shows like "The Boys", "Westworld "and "The Bear," which aired this June.

“The Old Man” and “The Umbrella Academy” won’t be eligible.
